It’s no longer a rumor that MTN and other major telecommunication networks have been rolling out updates about an increase in data price starting from December 1st of 2016.
Just when we thought we can relax and enjoy the Internet with the various affordable data plan we have, NCC came out of no where to take us to those days when data was gold and only the rich can afford more data.
In an SMS sent by MTN 2 days ago it reads “Dear customer, please be informed that from 1st Dec, some MTN data tariffs will be increased to reflect the new rates set by the NCC to operators. Thank you.”
Further more, this update is not only peculiar to MTN NG it has been rolled out by other networks like Etisalat.
There has been mixed reactions from Nigerians because this updates are coming at the time the country is going through Economic Recession and inflation. Only God can help us.
