HOW TO USE FREE VPN ON YOUR ANDROID SMARTPHONE

Well,today am back with a blockbuster trick for Android user…… like the title said,yeap you can use Free vpns on android.

Lets get started.

WHAT IS A VPN

A virtual private network (VPN) extends a private network across a public network, such as the internet. It enables a computer to send and receive data across shared or public networks as if it were directly connected to the private network, while benefitting from the functionality, security and management policies of the private network. This is done by establishing a virtual point-to-point connection through the use of dedicated connections, encryption, or a combination of the two.

A VPN connection across the Internet is similar to a wide area network (WAN) link between the sites. From a user perspective, the extended network resources are accessed in the same way as resources available from the private network.

VPNs allow employees to securely access their company’s intranet while traveling outside the office. Similarly, VPNs securely and cost effectively connect geographically disparate offices of an organization creating one cohesive virtual network. VPN technology is also used by ordinary Internet to connect to proxy servers  for the purpose of protecting one’s identity.

Now i think you know the meaning of VPN and its advantage.

There are many VPN app for android they are partially free but not that reliable,so i thought of a new way of using vpn`s on your Android without downloading any VPN app.

REQUIREMENT

Download Opera Mobile Classic from  http://adf.ly/RCkOW

And your Head………

CONFIGURATION

Navigate to SETTINGS->WIRELESS AND NETWORKS->VPN SETTINGS->ADD VPN

NOTE; In this tutorial i will be using a free vpn service provided by  http://adf.ly/RClKU

This are the following servers that we are going to use;

Free PPTP VPN Account (Easy to setup, no need to download any software, works with all Windows, Mobile and PS3 Devices)

• Server #1: euro1.vpnbook.com(Anonymous VPN)
• Server #2: euro2.vpnbook.com(Anonymous VPN)
• Server #3: uk1.vpnbook.com (UK VPN – optimized for fast web surfing; no p2p downloading)
• Server #4: us1.vpnbook.com (US VPN – optimized for fast web surfing; no p2p downloading)
• Username: vpnbook
• Password: h5trEge2e
  

More servers coming..

Note them down while we proceed,,,,

Click on Add Vpn->Add PPTP VPN->VPN name(add anything e.g Ayoproxy)

Tap Set VPN Server and enter any of the above listed Servers then click OK

Tap Enable Encryption

Leave the DNS search domains as default.. i mean untouched,WHY? cos i dont know its work.

Save and Back.

Now tap to connect,it will ask you for username and password,type in those listed above. Tick save username and click OK

After successful connection to the server it will show you a key at the Notification Bar.

HOW TO VERIFY MY ANONYMITY

To do this just navigate to your Opera Mobile and visit http://www.ip2location.com and check if changes have occured to your location,ip,isp etc.
