In a bid to make application shopping more transparent on Play Store. Google has introduced a new labelling feature on Thursday that tell’s you a particular application contains ads before downloading and installation. It’s the same sort of warning label you see for apps that contain in-game purchases and applies to every category in the store.
November, last year Google informed developers that they need to state whether their apps contained ads through their Play Developer Console by the start of January. Failure to comply with the new policy and lying about ad presence will lead to content removal from Google Play Store.
