THE GOOD / The Gionee M5 has a long lasting battery and a good camera. Also has infrared sensors making it work as a remote control for any appliances EG : TV,Home Theatre etc

THE BAD / This smartphone weights much if not a lot you actually need to have your pants belted to carry this in your pocket,i think it makes it fragile.

THE BOTTOM LINE / Gionee took her time to make this device and i must say its awesome. Its not just the battery its also a multimedia, muti-purpose device too. Kudos to Gionee.

5 Reasons Gionee M5 Might Be The Perfect Phone For Everyone

No much hype for this device other than the NTA NEWS Advert about been in the Sahara Desert. Well, the advert is funny but only shows us the Battery qualities of the Gionee M5.

 Battery Capacity :

Gionee M5 has a massive 6020mAh Battery, it can be used for a week with 3G/4G activated. According to the Gionee Team the phone has a a dual cell battery and it has a Fast Charge Feature. This mean the phone can be fully charged in 3 hours. This is good for Africa regarding the situation of Electricity and the scarcity of petrol. You can also use this phone as power bank to charge other phones upto 5 via the OTG Cable.

Support 4G LTE Network :

Only Few MTK Devices come with 4G LTE Support and good battery. Whats the benefits of LTE if the battery is BAD? Gionee answered that question perfectly by adding 4G LTE + 6020mAh Battery.

4G LTE is not fully functional in Nigeria has its restricted to some locations and it’s only available on private network providers like Spectranet, Smiles, Swift 4G etc and are located in major commercial cities of Nigeria.

If you are a heavy internet user that you need 4G LTE due to its super fast internet connection, this phone is the perfect one for you.

Premium Look and Feel :

 

This phone was sold for Forthy Five Thousand Naira last year, even though it sounds expensive you still get that feeling and look that makes people think its worth 70k. Its’s well designed has the volume buttons and power button placed at the right while the Dual Sim card slot and SD Card is placed at the Left.

Metal back covers protecting the non-removable battery while the phone name is boldly engraved at the back including IMEI and Model Name.

 

 Infrared Sensors :

One of my favorite features of the Gionee M5 is the ability to perform magic via my Smartphone. I can secretly change your DsTv channel from CNN to MTV BASE without touching the DsTv remote. This feature is awesome and makes this phone unique from all other MTK DEVICES have seen.

 

OTA UPDATES :

When it comes to rolling out updates i think Gionee comes first, can you believe Gionee M2 still receives important security updates? Yeah it does, even though it’s an old device. Rumor has it that Gionee is cooking Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the M5. We don’t know how true is this but i think Gionee can make it happen.

There is so many things we can write about Gionee M5 but we just think it’s better you know the major selling point of this device. The phone also comes with lot’s of accessories which includes OTG Cable, Premium Rubber Cover , SIM Card Removal Pin, Headset etc.

Before you drop your comments remember that no company can create a perfect phone that will serve everyone’s purpose but the Gionee M5 is very close. As at the time of publishing this post am yet to discover any major issues either software or hardware related on the Gionee M5.
