Last Month Infinix released a Beta Lollipop Update for most of their Infinix Products the update was a BETA version that came along with lots of bugs and most people complained about it.
Some hours ago, Infinix announced the official release of their Lollipop Update for Infinix Hot Note X551 with a new User Interface referred to as XUI.

You can Download the Update Directly from MEGA or Visit Infinix Mobility to read the good news yourself.

Only those on the 0730 version of Infinix Stock Rom will be able to get the OTA Update which will start rolling out tomorrow.
How to know your rom version ? – Go to settings -> about phone -> it should be below the base band version.
If you are rooted, please un-root your Hot Note first.
Install the stock recovery for Infinix Hot Note if you have installed CWM RECOVERY on your Phone.

You need to download the rom. Download link are up make sure you know how to use SP FLASH TOOL
Flash the rom and Enjoy the update.

They will get the update but it will be later or soon.. Just make sure you subscribe to our update.
so if I flash d room into the phone and I get the upgrade two days later. do I need to unroot d phone to upgrade again?

it’s a good thing I read your blog I use the 2gb ram version n wanted to follow d tutorial, but I had a change of mind n decided to wait for the OTA update but the thing is I’ve already rooted my phone. I’ve also unrooted it but I’m scared the OTA update Wil brick it. what do I do?
If you flash this update on your hot note pro. You will surely weep at the end. Fredd…wait for the update.
Fredd, the ota update won’t brick it if you really not rooted with official recovery installed sir.
This update only works on infinix hot note which is 20150814 if you try it on infinix 20150522 which is not pro your phone will get bricked the blogger should had posted this

please im new to this can you gimme the step by step guide to flashing this update on my infinix and mine is rooted,i un rooted it but when i try to install the OTA update it fails and says phone might have been rooted…..what do i do?

Phebe.. sorry about that. If you are using MTN i will advice you stop it. MTN Network is bad currently. Its adviceable to use WiFi while downloading OTA UPDATE.
Please I downloaded and installed the 813 update on lollipop. But another update came out via OTA yesterday after downloading it’s saying unfortunately system update has stopped working. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Am using infinix hot note 16/1gb ram and am on 5052 as my latest system update if i flashed it will my phone be bricked? Because someone said from 5052 should nt flashed it that we will be bricked bt my fone is not pro na it jes 16/1gb

Kunle, that’s so sad…. I feel your pain. Please get another phone as yours copy it’s NVRAM FILES on your SD card and replace it with yours… Delete your NVRAM FOLDER and paste the one you copied from your friends phone. Let us know how it goes…. Thanks
pls how do I know which rom my phone is???cos my phone refused to on and it said something about my stock in the pc before it said error…my phone is with carl care now and want to know if it will be in stock rom when I get it back..
Check the name of your phone and the storage details and you can figure out the name of your phone.
please,if I flash my infinix hot note completely,will it now be in stock rom??cos as i was upgrading via spflash,it said sth about an error in the stock rom before my phone refused to on again…its with carl care now..i will like to try again..just need to fix the stock rom problem

I successfully upgraded my hot note x551 to ? 5.1, just that i can check for updates and download but when I try to install, it says unfortunately system update stopped unexpectedly.
What to do, i don’t know, i even can’t update from recovery mode because there are no commands listed..
I thought it was a problem somewhere so i flash several times but it still came out the same!?!?

When you get to recovery hold the power button and press the volume button once… It should show you update from cache… Press that to install the update. Repeat this steps for future updates installation. Thanks for visiting.
